- Aligning all resources to aim for perfection
Our Operational Excellence engagements combine process (using Lean, 6S and other methodologies), behavioural change and management systems improvements, aiming to achieve a state of excellence within operations. It is a holistic approach that addresses and improves all angles of operations rather than shortcomings in one of the operational aspects. The approach is based on the fact that most issues and challenges faced by an organisation will not have one single root cause. Instead, due to historical and other reasons, there will most likely be a number of different causes scattered within the three areas (processes issues, waste, inconsistent handling, management system weaknesses, staff behavioural shortcomings). Our programs deal with these issues and introduce employee engagement.
Our OpEx engagements have a number of phases:
Operational Review: this is where the underlying issues are identified and an approach is developed
Solution Development & Fine-tuning: during this phase the tools, behavioural changes and process improvements are developed. The development is made together with the people working within the areas using Kaizen type events and Employee Empowerment methods. Depending on the client needs, sometimes this phase is merged with the Implementation creating an iterative process where each iteration creates an improved version of the change.
Implementation: Once the solution is ready it will then be rolled out
Sustainability: As the implementation is finalised and mechanic compliance achieved, a new phase of coaching and engagement actions is introduced to ensure sustainability
Employee Engagement: EE is an integral and continuous part of the engagement from the Solution Development phase onwards
